Lead Abatement Project
This was a difficult project with a
tight schedule for the Army Corp of
Engineers at the Denison Power Plant
in Denison, TX. HP EnviroVision removed lead based paint from
the window frames of 56 window
panes, and
asbestos caulking, then removed
the window panes and lowered them
65' to
the ground. The scaffold our team
had to work on was 65' above platform and
150' off
the water.
Concern for the environment is
always a top priority for our team.
A blue tarp was used as a semi-containment
to keep lead based paint chips from
escaping the work area and getting into
the water.
HP scraped lead based paint from the
horizontal steel members and window
stops from inside and out, then
packaged all waste materials and
transported them to an approved recycling
facility.
Approximately 1017 linear feet of
asbestos was also removed as part of
this project.
